Portuguese Primeira Liga football club FC Porto has signed a long-term extension to its kit partnership with US sportswear brand New Balance.
The new deal means the relationship will now extend for the next 10 years, with New Balance to continue providing Porto’s playing and training kit during this time.
A range of other Porto-related apparel will also be created by New Balance as part of the agreement.
New Balance first partnered with Porto in 2014 and the club noted that global retail sales of its kit have increased by 91 per cent since the start of the agreement.
Kenny McCallum, general manager of New Balance Football, said: “FC Porto was one of the first clubs with whom we reached an agreement for the supply of kits, and this renewal is proof of a very positive first stage in our relationship with the club. The new agreement reflects the ambition of New Balance and of FC Porto in growing and evolving at a global level, with tremendous desire for success.”
