Polish lottery operator Totalizator Sportowy has agreed a deal for its Lotto brand to become the new title sponsor of the country’s Ekstraklasa top-tier club football competition.
Under an initial one-year deal, it has been confirmed that the league will be known as the Lotto Ekstraklasa for its 2016-17 season.
The league has designed and released a new logo, which will now appear on the jerseys of all Ekstraklasa players, as well as inside the league’s 16 stadiums and the division’s official social media channels.
Totalizator Sportowy president Łukasz Łazarewicz said: “Totalizator Sportowy has supported Polish sport for nearly 60 years, so the connection of the Lotto brand and the top professional football league in Poland is a natural step in the development of both companies.
“Cooperation with the Ekstraklasa is also the start of a new stage in the strategic development of the lottery. Our goal is to create a completely new quality in Polish sponsorship and generate not only the growth of image for the brand, but also an increase in sales of our products.”
