The Polish Football Association (PZPN) has renewed its sponsorship deal with national supermarket chain Biedronka.
The new deal runs until the end of 2022, with Biedronka to retain its position as an official sponsor of the Polish national team.
The deal covers Poland’s men’s, women’s and youth teams. Biedronka, which first partnered with the PZPN in 2010, will also be the main sponsor of the organisation’s Academy of Young Eagles and Summer Academy of Young Eagles.
The company will be granted the right to use the ‘official sponsor of the Polish Football Association’ designation in marketing campaigns, while it will also benefit from brand exposure during Poland’s home matches. Its logo will feature in the backdrop of press conferences and on the PZPN’s website, with ticket packages to also form part of the deal.
Maciej Łukowski, board member and commercial director of Biedronka’s parent company Jeronimo Martins Polska, said: “We were with white and red when they were 78th in the Fifa world ranking and now they are in the top 10. At the same time, we are doing everything to make the football of tomorrow even better.”
The deal has been signed ahead of this summer’s Fifa World Cup in Russia, where Poland has been drawn alongside Colombia, Japan and Senegal in Group H.
