Philippine basketball association signs UnionPay as official payment partner

On Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum, UnionPay International Southeast Asia signed a deal with the Philippine Basketball Association to make UnionPay their official payment partner.

The sponsorship launch included UnionPay organising exciting activities for fans and their  cardholders, and fans got to win exclusive PBA merchandise. This deal covers both the ongoing Commissioner’s Cup as well as the Governors’ and Philippine Cup, and the league’s All-Star week, fun runs and other events.

Vincent Ling, deputy general manager of UnionPay Southeast Asia said: ” UnionPay is delighted to be the official payment partner of the PBA. The PBA partnership is our first major sponsorship in the country, and also our first basketball sponsorship globally. Our strategy is to always serve and connect on a deeper level with our consumers and local communities. As such, UnionPay is constantly engaging our cardholders through exciting activities.”
