Global water management company Pentair has been confirmed as the sixth founding partner for U.S. Bank Stadium, the future home of NFL American football franchise the Minnesota Vikings.
Pentair has also been named the official sustainable water partner of the Vikings. The length of the deal was not disclosed.
As part of the agreement, Pentair-filtered drinking water will be made available to supporters at stations throughout U.S. Bank Stadium, which is scheduled to open in July 2016. It is hoped the company’s advanced filtration system will enhance the taste and quality of the water being sourced to the stadium by the nearby Mississippi River.
Pentair’s branding will appear by the stadium’s South Gate Entrance, which will take on the title of the Pentair Gate. The company will also develop further water concepts for inside the stadium and at the team’s potential new practice facility.
Randall Hogan, chairman and chief executive of Pentair, said: “This partnership demonstrates our ‘top to tap’ capabilities, as our technologies are utilised both in the treatment of the source water from the Mississippi, as well as at the point of consumption with the planned water stations.”
Pentair joins Century Link, Hy-Vee, Land O’Lakes, MillerCoors and Polaris as a founding partner of U.S. Bank Stadium.
