Chinese sports apparel and equipment manufacturer Peak Sport has renewed its partnership with the New Zealand Olympic Committee.
The extended deal will cover the upcoming 2016 summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as well as other major sporting events. The partnership will culminate in the 2020 summer Games in Tokyo, Japan.
Under the agreement, Peak Sport will continue to serve as New Zealand’s official provider of uniform and equipment. The company first teamed up with the NZOC six years ago.
Peak Sport will also provide kit for Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Nigeria, Palestine, Slovenia and Ukraine at Rio 2016, which will take place from August 5-21.
Peak Sport’s chairman Xu Jingnan said: “If people say that the excellent performances of Chinese athletes can show how healthy and strong Chinese people are, then performances of Chinese sports brands in the Olympic Games can best describe how powerful a country China is.”
