Financial services group Crefisa and São Paulo-based education centre Faculdade das Américas (FAM) have renewed kit sponsorship agreements with Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A football club Palmeiras.
The new two-year deals will cover the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed, but Palmeiras said the club now holds the “largest sponsorship” among all South American football teams. The Maquina do Esporte website reported that Crefisa and FAM would pay Palmeiras a fixed fee of R$80m (€24m/$26m) per season.
Palmeiras president Maurício Galiotte said: “It is a two-year contract, a contract that is superior to the previous one, and which includes awards for achievements in all the tournaments in which Palmeiras is participating in 2017 and 2018. Also, it is a great satisfaction to announce that we have the greatest sponsorship among all clubs in South America.”
Crefisa and FAM will continue to occupy all of the sponsorship space on Palmeiras’ kits and other uniforms for the next two seasons. Both companies partnered with the club in 2015.
Palmeiras finished the 2016 season as Serie A champion, ending a 22-year wait for the title.
