Italian Serie A football club Palermo has renewed its partnership with shipping company GNV.
The new one-year deal covers the 2016-17 Serie A season, with GNV to serve as a ‘top’ sponsor of the club.
As part of the agreement, GNV will benefit from perimeter advertising exposure at Palermo’s Stadio Renzo Barbera home ground on match days.
Its branding will also feature in the backdrop of player interviews and in VIP hospitality areas, while social media competitions will be organised to promote the partnership.
“Palermo and Sicily are part of our history and our identity and represent one of the most important destinations for our business,” GNV chief executive Matteo Catani said. “The long-term bond with the city of Palermo is reinforced further by renewing our sponsorship of the team this season.”
GNV first teamed up with Palermo ahead of the 2015-16 season. The city of Palermo serves as a major hub for GNV and was the first destination the company operated in when it launched in 1993.
