Telecommunications company Omantel has extended its title sponsorship of the Oman Professional League, the top tier of club football in the country.
Omantel’s new three-year deal with the Oman Football Association covers the 2016-17 to 2018-19 seasons. The company has served as the league’s title sponsor since 2008.
“Omantel is OFA’s longest-standing partner and has been with us the whole way as we have elevated league and club football to the levels they are at now,” OFA chairman Sayyid Khalid al Busaidi said. “We are excited for what the new season will have in store and we are very confident that with Omantel’s support, our game and leagues will continue to grow.”
The 2016-17 season got underway at the weekend. Fanja is the defending champion.
