Oakley eyes regional gains through Asian Tour deal

US sports performance and fashion brand Oakley has entered into a two-year partnership to serve as the official eyewear and footwear sponsor of golf’s Asian Tour.

Oakley will enjoy exclusivity in both categories under the agreement, which is effective immediately and will run until the end of 2015.

Oakley is set to benefit from various on-site activations at Asian Tour events through the deal, the financial terms of which were not disclosed.

Tim Scott-Branagan, director of business and brand development at Oakley Asia Pacific, said: “We believe our association with the region’s premier Tour will deliver great value and benefits to Oakley as we seek to further establish our brand in Asia, especially in key markets such as Indonesia, Korea, Philippines and Thailand.”
