Soft drinks manufacturer Dr Pepper Snapple Group has agreed a five-year deal to become the official beverage partner of Major League Baseball team the Oakland Athletics.
The agreement begins with the 2018 regular season and grants Dr Pepper Snapple Group exclusive sales and pouring rights at the Oakland Coliseum, the team’s home ballpark.
The partnership covers regular-season and post-season games and includes rights for carbonated soft drinks, tea, water, enhanced water, juice, red juice, energy drinks, isotonic beverages and packaged coffee.
Dr Pepper, Diet Dr Pepper, 7UP, Snapple, Squirt, Sunkist, Bai, Body Armor, RC Cola, Diet RC Cola, Hawaiian Punch Lemonade, and Deja Blue will be available at Coliseum concession stands as part of the deal.
The Athletics' chief operating officer, Chris Giles, said: “This represents one of our most significant partnerships and demonstrates the direction our team is moving, as we lay the foundation for future success in Oakland.”
