The Argentine Football Association has entered into a partnership with Japanese automotive manufacturer Nissan.
The deal names Nissan as an official sponsor of the Argentine national team for the next three years.
“In this new stage of the Argentine Football Association, it is important to work together with leading brands worldwide and continue to strengthen the confidence they place in AFA,” AFA president Claudio Tapia said.
The deal has been signed ahead of this summer’s Fifa World Cup in Russia, where Argentina has been drawn alongside Croatia, Iceland and Nigeria in Group D.
Nissan joins Adidas, Coca-Cola, Quilmes, Claro, Tarjeta Naranja, Sancor Seguros, YPF, Mostaza and Fango as official sponsors of the AFA.
