Soft drinks manufacturer Coca-Cola has agreed a partnership with the Nigerian Football Federation.
The initial agreement will run for five years and is worth a total of $4m (€3.3m).
Coca-Cola will become the official soft drink and co-sponsor of Nigeria’s national football teams.
The company has a long-term affiliation with professional football and will this summer serve as an official global partner to the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia.
Cletus Onyebuoha, head of strategic marketing (sparkling) at Coca-Cola’s West Africa Business Unit, said: “This sponsorship of the Nigeria national teams is a further demonstration of Coca-Cola’s commitment to football in Nigeria at all levels and our support for communities where we operate.”
