US college sports organisation the Atlantic Coast Conference has extended its partnership with life insurance provider New York Life.
Terms of the new deal were not disclosed, but New York Life will continue as an ACC official corporate champion and title sponsor of the conference’s men’s basketball tournament.
As the official life insurance provider of the ACC, New York Life will continue to receive benefits that include extensive television and marketing tie-ins with ACC American football and basketball, as well as all the ACC Championship events. Assets include on-site marketing, promotional opportunities, brand exposure, licensing rights, and integration on all official ACC digital platforms.
The title sponsorship between the ACC and New York Life, along with sports broadcaster ESPN and the Raycom Sports agency, includes the 2018 basketball event at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and the 2019 event at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The entitlement includes branding of broadcasts across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and Raycom Sports’ syndicated ACC Network, as well as significant branding in-venue. New York Life became the first title sponsor of the ACC Tournament in 2015.
Rob Temple, senior vice-president of sports marketing at ESPN, said: “This renewal carries us forward to the year of the new network being launched by ESPN and the ACC, scheduled for August 2019 – continuing to demonstrate that the future is bright for the ACC, their fans, New York Life and our affiliation with them.”
