The Football Association of Ireland has named US sportswear brand New Balance as the official kit supplier for its men’s and women’s national teams.
New Balance will provide kit for Ireland national teams at all age groups, and will also supply training apparel and equipment. The deal, the length of which was not disclosed, is effective from August.
New Balance will replace UK sportswear brand Umbro as the FAI’s official kit supplier. Umbro first partnered with the FAI in 1994.
FAI chief executive John Delaney said: “The Republic of Ireland jersey is recognisable all around the world and is synonymous with the passion that our players and our supporters are renowned for.
“We're looking forward to revealing the New Balance kits that will be worn by all of our competitive national teams as they enter into a very exciting time for international football.”
