NBA’s Pistons sign up partner for new training facility

The Detroit Pistons NBA basketball franchise has agreed a deal with local healthcare organisation Henry Ford Health System.

Under the deal, a new training, rehabilitation and sports medicine complex called the ‘Henry Ford – Detroit Pistons Performance Centre’ will be established.

Built on land between Wayne State University and Henry Ford Hospital, the site will house a new training facility and corporate headquarters for the Pistons.

The complex will also feature a sports medicine, treatment and rehabilitation facility managed by the healthcare organisation, as well as incorporate public spaces for community relations activation, networking receptions and team-hosted events.

In addition, from the 2017-18 NBA season, Henry Ford will serve as the official healthcare provider for the Pistons.
