The Namibian Football Association has agreed a deal for German sportswear giant Adidas to replace rival Puma as the official kit partner of the country’s national team.
The deal will run for three years, from 2015-16 until 2017-18.
Under the agreement, Adidas will design, manufacture and supply the team’s playing apparel and training kit. Adidas will also provide match balls for use in all Namibia home national team matches.
According to the AllAfrica news service, the Namibian FA opted to drop Puma as a partner due to undisclosed problems. Puma’s eight-year relationship with the organisation began in 2007 and expired earlier this year.
Barry Rukoro, the secretary general of the Namibian FA, did not disclose the financial terms of the new deal.
