Money transfer and payment services company MoneyGram has agreed a deal to sponsor the Caribbean Premier League Twenty20 cricket competition.
MoneyGram will sponsor the 2017 edition of the league, which runs from August 4 to September 9.
The deal builds upon MoneyGram’s existing presence within cricket. Last year, the company signed a new long-term partnership with the International Cricket Council. The eight-year deal runs until 2023 and names MoneyGram as an event partner of the sport’s global governing body.
CPL commercial director Jamie Stewart said: “Both MoneyGram and Hero CPL share a common goal of seeking to unite and connect people across borders and geographies. This agreement will help Hero CPL reach out to diaspora communities around the world and we look forward to announcing some exciting initiatives which will celebrate those connections.”
