Alaska Airlines has entered into a partnership with MLB baseball franchise the San Francisco Giants.
The seven-year agreement will act as an extension of Virgin America’s existing deal with the team. Alaska Airlines and Virgin America are both subsidiaries of Alaska Air Group.
Alaska Airlines will have access to a customised suite at the team’s AT&T Park home stadium and also take naming rights to a VIP suite area inside the venue.
Giants fans will also have access to in-flight offers on Alaska Airlines flights and special travel packages through the Giant Vacations program, while the airline will launch a seasonal, twice daily flight from San Francisco to Phoenix, Arizona, to allow fans to attend the team’s Spring Training in 2018.
Others aspects of the new deal include Alaska Airlines serving as the presenting partner of the team’s ‘Giant Races’ charity initiative, while the airline will also rebrand one of its Airbus 321 planes with Giants-themed livery.
