Australian Twenty20 Big Bash League cricket franchise Melbourne Stars has entered into a two-year sponsorship agreement with Japanese automotive manufacturer Mitsubishi Motors.
Under the deal Mitsubishi will serve as Melbourne Stars’ major partner and official motor vehicle supplier for the next two seasons of the BBL, making it the first team in the competition to sign a motor vehicle company as a major partner.
The Mitsubishi logo will feature on the Stars' playing jerseys and training kit, while the partnership will be visibly activated at matches and community events.
Mitsubishi Motors joins principle partner and electronics retailer Dick Smith on the Melbourne commercial roster, replacing weight loss and nutrition company Jenny Craig – the team's major partner for the first two seasons of the BBL.
