Life and health insurance group Macir Vie has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Algerian Football Federation (FAF).
Macir Vie and FAF have been partners for the past six years and, under the terms of the agreement, the firm provides bespoke insurance cover for the national team’s football players when they are on duty for international matches.
Terms of the extended agreement were not disclosed, but it will take in Algeria’s involvement at the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil, where it has been drawn alongside Belgium, Russia and South Korea in Group H.
Algeria has not progressed beyond the round-robin phase in three previous outings at international football’s global showcase, although the presence of Valencia winger Sofiane Feghouli and Inter Milan duo Ishak Belfodil and Saphir Taider in the squad has sparked hopes of a promising future.
