Rideshare company Lyft has sealed a partnership with top New York sports and entertainment venue Madison Square Garden.
As the official rideshare partner of the venue, Lyft will receive significant exposure across MSG and its digital assets during games featuring the New York Knicks NBA basketball franchise and the New York Rangers NHL ice hockey team.
Branding exposure will appear on in-arena LED signage, IPTV inside the arena, featured messaging on the venue’s in-house GardenVision channel and promotional spots on Madison Square Garden's iconic 7th Avenue marquee. There will also be discounts at the venue for Lyft users.
The length of the deal was not disclosed.
“Madison Square Garden plays host to millions of people each year that travel to MSG for a wide variety of sports and entertainment events, making Lyft a perfect addition to our world-class group of marketing partners,” said Ron Skotarczak, Madison Square Garden’s executive vice-president of marketing partnerships. “Lyft shares our commitment to help improve the customer experience by offering and providing transportation to and from our events.”
