The Belgian national lottery has signed a six year extension to its title sponsorship of the Lotto-Belisol UCI World Tour cycling team, which will also have a new co-naming partner from 2015.
Sealants, adhesives and foams manufacturer Soudal replaces window and door company Belisol and the Belgian outfit will be known at Lotto Soudal from next season.
Soudal has an established relationship with the team. Its branding was added to the shorts at the 2013 Tour de France and was this season moved to the back of the shorts and the front of the jersey.
Lotto’s extension relates to the team’s men’s, women’s and under-23 squads. The financial terms agreed by both sponsors were not disclosed.
During Belisol’s three seasons as a co-naming sponsor, the team achieved six Tour de France stage wins. These included two victories at this year’s Tour with Andre Greipel (pictured) and Tony Gallopin collecting wins at stages six and 11 respectively.
