The PyeongChang organising committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic winter Games (Pocog) has strengthened its domestic sponsorship portfolio by agreeing a new deal with South Korean conglomerate Lotte Group.
Under the agreement, Lotte will be able to use Games branding in promotional activities and will have access to the event’s hospitality programme.
Pocog and Lotte are also in discussions regarding potential support for the organising committee’s official licensing programme for the Games.
In January, Lotte agreed a deal to sponsor a key test event for the Olympics – the International Ski Federation men’s World Cup downhill and super-G events in Jeongseon on February 6-7.
Just over a year ago, Lotte agreed a six-year deal to become a sponsor of the Korea Ski Association, from 2015 to 2020.
