French Ligue 1 football club Lorient has signed Italian sportswear brand Kappa as its new kit supplier.
The five-year deal becomes effective on June 1 and will cover the 2017-18 to 2021-22 seasons.
Under the agreement, Kappa will exclusively provide clothing for Lorient’s sport and lifestyle ranges. Kappa will replace German sportswear manufacturer Adidas as the club’s kit supplier.
François-Xavier Chupin, president of Kappa France, said: “Kappa is very pleased to be able to accompany FC Lorient on a significant long-term commitment for our group. The club will be… a key element of our presence in France.”
Lorient currently sits 18th in Ligue 1 with five games of the 2016-17 season remaining.
