The Emirates airline has extended a shirt sponsorship deal with Lancashire County Cricket Club in England.
The new five-year deal will ensure Emirates’ logo will continue to appear on the club’s shirt in the Vitality Blast Twenty20 Cup competition through to 2023.
The shirt sponsorship agreement for the club’s Lancashire Lightning T20 team is now in line with Emirates’ naming-rights contract for the club’s Old Trafford stadium.
Financial terms of the “record” shirt sponsorship deal were not disclosed.
Daniel Gidney, the club’s chief executive, said: “We’re hugely proud of our long-term relationship, which commenced in 2013, and this announcement, with a world-leading brand who believe in the same way of working as us, will see customer and fan focused activations, as well as being another positive step as part of the club’s continued commercial growth and development.”
Emirates is also a partner of leading football clubs Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and AC Milan, English football’s FA Cup, Rugby World Cup 2019 and the Formula One motor-racing world championships, as well as properties in golf, horse racing, tennis and Aussie rules.
