LaLiga, which operates the top two divisions of Spanish football, has agreed a sponsorship deal with Iranian telecommunications company Irancell.
Terms of the regional agreement were not disclosed. Irancell is part of the MTN group.
LaLiga’s corporate managing director, Javier Gómez, said, according to the Palco23 news website: “This agreement further amplifies the global recognition of the LaLiga brand around the world and helps us connect and get even more involved with our millions of followers in Iran in a very innovative way.”
LaLiga said the deal will also allow it to introduce innovative content initiatives.
