Drinks products manufacturer Milo has agreed a deal to sponsor the 2017 edition of the Southeast Asian Games multi-sport event, which will be staged in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur.
As part of the deal, Milo will provide the Malaysian SEA Games Organising Committee with RM700,000 (€154,000/$172,000) in cash, RM500,000 in kind and over RM6m in marketing support.
Milo will serve as a second-tier silver sponsor alongside isotonic sports drinks brand 100 Plus.
Malaysian newspaper The Star reported that Milo’s logo and the ‘Bangkit Bersama’ (Rising Together) message will be displayed on vans at schools across the country to promote the partnership.
The Games will take place from August 19-31 next year.
