Food manufacturing company Kellogg’s has entered into a partnership with the Olympic Council of Ireland ahead of this summer’s Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Kellogg’s has been named an official sponsor of Team Ireland in a deal that will run until the end of 2016.
Kellogg’s will promote the partnership across its Corn Flakes, Special K, Squares and Pringles brands. The two parties will also launch the #greatstarts social media campaign, which will follow Irish athletes as they prepare for Rio 2016.
In addition, Kellogg’s will organise ticket giveaways and consumers will be given the chance to spend a day with Irish boxer and Olympic champion Katie Taylor (pictured).
The company plans on teaming up with a number of other athletes to promote the partnership during the lead-up to the Games.
Kellogg’s is also an official partner of Team GB, having entered into a partnership with the British Olympic Association in December. This summer’s Games will take place from August 5-21.
