Global financial services firm JP Morgan has renewed its sponsorship of Lord’s cricket ground and its media centre.
The three-year deal extends on an agreement from 2011 that will now run through to the end of 2019. JP Morgan has an option to renew further upon Lord’s being allocated matches in future years.
The deal was signed following the completion of the £4m (€4.7m/$5.2m) refurbishment of the JP Morgan Media Centre.
The company will continue to benefit from branding around the ground, sponsorship of the annual MCC Museum Exhibition, as well as hospitality, events and digital rights.
Lord's will also work with the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) to help secondary school students prepare for a career after education, among other community-based projects.
MCC’s head of commercial, Jon Robinson, said: “JP Morgan is the most significant commercial sponsor that MCC has ever worked with, and the club is naturally delighted to be renewing our successful association.
"Quite simply, it is an excellent strategic partnership that works very well, and it is fitting the agreement comes at a time when Lord’s prepares to host its first major match of the season.”
