English rugby league rivals St Helens and Warrington Wolves have signed up sportswear retailer JD as an official partner.
The clubs, currently first and third in the top-tier Super League, will carry the JD logo on their sleeves of their playing kits for the remainder of the 2018 season.
JD is based in the north-west of England, where the two clubs are based, and the retailer has stores in both towns.
“Super League is a fantastic product and fits perfectly with our store locations and our customers sporting interests,” JD Group’s marketing director, Stephen White, said. “The Saints and Wolves are the perfect community clubs for JD as we make our first connection with rugby league supporters.”
JD plans to develop in-store activations to support the partnerships throughout the summer.
