The Invictus Games multi-sport event has extended its partnership with British automotive company Jaguar Land Rover.
The company will serve as a presenting partner for the 2016 Games in Orlando, Florida having backed the event, which is contested by wounded and injured armed services personnel from across the globe, for its inaugural edition in London, England in 2014.
The company will support the Games financially and will also be involved in rehabilitation and employment initiatives.
“We strongly believe that there is a close alignment between our company’s values and the passionate, unstoppable determination of armed forces veterans,” Joe Eberhardt, president and chief executive of the North American branch of Jaguar Land Rover, said.
“Our goal, in partnership, with the Invictus Organisation, is to continue to inspire and encourage injured and wounded military personnel.”
Next year’s event takes place from May 8-12. Over 500 athletes from 15 nations are set to compete.
