Supermarket chain Lidl has reached an agreement to become a premium sponsor of the Italian national football team.
The deal with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) runs until the end of 2018.
Financial terms were not revealed for the partnership, which will cover Italy’s qualification and potential final appearances in the Uefa Euro 2016 and 2018 Fifa World Cup tournaments.
Lidl will serve alongside water brand Lete and snack food brand Pai as a premium sponsor of the FIGC.
Italy continues its bid for a place at Euro 2016 with a qualifying match against Malta in Florence tonight (Thursday).
