The Irish Rugby Football Union has agreed a sponsorship deal with sports retail group Intersport Elverys.
Intersport will serve as the IRFU’s official sports retailer for a three-year period, and will also become the official sponsor of the Ireland sevens team.
Intersport’s branding will feature on the shirts of the men’s and women’s sevens teams as part of the agreement.
Intersport also serves as the title sponsor and official retail partner of Irish Pro14 rugby union club Connacht.
Intersport Elverys chief executive Patrick Rowland said: “Our sponsorship with the Ireland sevens teams was a huge opportunity for us to get involved in rugby at another level and create a strong partnership with the national organisation.
“We have been involved with Connacht Rugby for a number of years so it seemed fitting that we get involved with our national sevens teams especially since men's and women's sevens rugby continues to grow at an enormous rate both internationally and nationally.”
