Small business accounting software company Intuit has agreed a deal to become the new principal sponsor of English Premier League football club Aston Villa.
The deal will run for an initial two-year period, from the 2015-16 season through to the end of the 2016-17 campaign.
Under the agreement, the logo of Intuit’s QuickBooks product will appear on the front of the players’ home and away shirts.
Intuit replaces Dafabet as the team’s front-of-shirt sponsor. However, the betting company will retain a presence in the Premier League after it struck a deal last week to become the new main sponsor of Sunderland.
David Walsh, director of marketing and small business sales at Intuit UK, said: “There is an amazing community of business owners in the West Midlands area, many of whom are among Aston Villa’s incredibly passionate supporters. With our mission to help small businesses succeed and grow, we look forward to continuing to getting to know the businesses in the area and providing the support we can.”
