The International Wushu Federation (IWF) has renewed its partnership with sports equipment manufacturer Wesing Sports.
The Yutang Sports website reported that Wesing Sports will continue to serve as the official equipment supplier for the IWF. Terms of the new deal were not disclosed.
Wesing Sports became the IWF's first-ever sponsor and equipment supplier when partnering with the body in 2012. The company has since sponsored a number of IWF-organised events and helped promote the sport of wushu around the world.
The IWF had been seeking a place for wushu at Tokyo’s 2020 summer Olympic Games. However, wushu, along with bowling and squash, failed to make the final shortlist of additional sports selected by Tokyo 2020 in September 2015.
