Sports equipment supplier Gilbert has renewed its partnership with the International Netball Federation.
The new four-year deal runs from 2017 to 2020 and names Gilbert as the official supplier and exclusive ball of the INF for use in all of the body’s events.
Gilbert will also retain its position as the official kit supplier of match officials and other technical officials for all international umpire appointments.
Key events covered by the extension include this year’s World Youth Cup in Gaborone, Botswana; the 2019 World Cup in Liverpool, England and the Fast5 World Series in Melbourne, Australia.
“This renewal underlines Gilbert’s position as the ball of choice for netballers all around the world,” Richard Gray, Gilbert’s sales and marketing director, said. “We have been working closely with INF for many years and continue to support their exciting new developments, which will benefit the sport and its millions of supporters throughout the world. The arrangement is a genuine partnership that will continue to build the netball franchise worldwide.”
The Gilbert netball is already the choice of leading clubs and national bodies worldwide, including top 10 nations Australia, England, Jamaica, Malawi, New Zealand, South Africa, Fiji, Scotland, Trinidad & Tobago and Wales.
The extended contract comes at a strategic time for the INF as it launches Netball 2020, a new four-year development plan.
