India’s Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) has signed a partnership with Oriental Insurance to boost the Indian team’s preparations for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The agreement with the Indian company marks the first time MYAS has signed a designated insurance partner.
The deal is part of the Target Olympic Podium scheme, which is operated by the MYAS-established National Sports Development Fund.
At the launch of the agreement, Oriental Insurance presented a cheque of Rs580,000 (€8,200/ $9,100) as its initial contribution to the NSDF.
