Global logistics company DHL has extended its partnership with the Indian Super League domestic club football competition.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that the agreement will run for at least the 2016-17 season.
DHL will serve as an associate sponsor and deliver the match ball for all games, with the firm to run a social media competition to determine the fans that will present the ball at each match.
The company will also continue to run its ‘DHL Winning Pass’ initiative, where it presents an award to the players that contribute the highest number of assists in a match and over the entire season.
The 2016-17 ISL season kicks off on October 1 with a match between NorthEast United and Kerala Blasters.
