NFL American football team the New York Jets has entered into a multi-year partnership with identity-related security services company IdentoGO by Idemia.
IdentoGO will serve as the official identity security and biometrics partner of the Jets. The deal marks the company’s first exclusive sponsorship in professional sports.
As part of the agreement, Jets fans will be given the chance to register for expedited security screening for travellers at MetLife Stadium on game days. The activation will be in place for all Jets home games during the 2017 season.
IdentoGO will also be the presenting partner of the Jets’ Fan Hall of Fame, which launched earlier this season.
The partnership also includes a pilot program to promote IdentoGO’s wide range of technology that can be used to enhance the fan experience at MetLife Stadium and other Jets events. Further promotion will be provided through signage at MetLife Stadium, and digital and social assets.
“It is our mission and responsibility to make our security solutions, like the TSA Pre✓ program, available to as many people as possible,” Didier Lamouche, chief executive of Idemia, the company that provides IdentoGO services, said. “Our partnership with the Jets allows us to reach as many as 75,000 fans at each home game and enrol a high percentage of those people into the proven safe and secure program.”
In other news, NFL team the Tennessee Titans has entered into a partnership with transportation service Lyft, through which a rideshare lounge will be set up at Nissan Stadium. The lounge will feature an interactive space with concessions, games, entertainment and TVs for fans to sample while waiting for their rides.
