Russian IT company I-Teco has reached a deal to become an official supplier for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi.
I-Teco’s deal relates to the unified identification system (UIS) category, where the company will aim to ensure accredited persons enjoy efficient access to a range of services at the Games.
Electronic food vouchers and deferred printing for accredited press are among the services to be provided by I-Teco and the UIS will be used at all Olympic venues, with the system providing user authentication based on radio frequency technology.
The I-Teco system will be operated by the company’s own specialists and is part of the integrated Sochi 2014 technology solution developed and managed by International Olympic Committee TOP Partner Atos.
Sochi 2014’s deal with I-Teco comes after German orthopaedic aids manufacturer Bauerfeind was yesterday announced as the therapeutic braces and supports supplier to the Games.
