Hertha Berlin powers up Ryobi extension

Power tools and outdoor products manufacturer Ryobi has signed a one-year extension to its partnership with German Bundesliga football club Hertha Berlin.

Ryobi will remain an exclusive partner of the club during the 2016-17 Bundesliga season. The two parties first teamed up ahead of the 2014-15 campaign.

Under the agreement, Ryobi will continue to enjoy television-visible perimeter advertising during Hertha’s home matches. The company will benefit from further branding at the club’s Olympiastadion, while additional promotional activities will also be organised.

“The cooperation with Hertha BSC has been really successful for us,” Ralf Häfele, chief executive of the Central Europe division of Techtonic Industries, Ryobi’s parent company, said.

“We have seen that our Ryobi brand has … made a significant leap forward thanks to this connection. We want to expand this success and therefore are already looking forward to another season with Hertha BSC.”

The agreement was brokered by the Lagardère Sports agency.
