Cognac brand Hennessy has extended its title sponsorship of horse racing’s Gold Cup by a further three years.
Already the longest-running commercial sponsorship in British racing, the 2014 edition of the Gold Cup will be the 57th to bear the Hennessy name and carry a £175,000 ($278,000/€209,000) prize fund.
Additionally, bookmaker Bet365 has become the headline sponsor for the event’s Hennessy Festival at Newbury racecourse.
Bet365 will sponsor 13 of the 21 races at the meeting under a long-term agreement.
