The organising committee for the 2018 winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in PyeongChang (Pocog) has signed up Hancom as the official automated translation software supporter of the event in South Korea.
Under the agreement, Hancom will support Pocog by providing automated translation software for athletes, officials and spectators in Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese, French, Spanish, German, Russian and more.
As an official supporter of PyeongChang 2018, Hancom will be able to exercise various marketing rights in South Korea, including the use of the Games intellectual properties and the use of the Games emblem in promotional activities.
Kim Sang Chul, Hancom chairman, said: “This sponsorship will be a great opportunity for Hancom’s software technology to contribute to global communication that breaks language barriers as well as promoting the significance of this event that transcends national borders.”
