Grupa Lotos fuels Poland’s Euro 2016 bid

Petroleum products company Grupa Lotos has secured a deal to become the main sponsor of the Polish national football team.

The agreement with the Polish Football Association (PZPN) runs until the end of 2018, taking in Poland’s qualifying campaigns for potential participation in the Uefa Euro 2016 and 2018 Fifa World Cup tournaments.

Gdansk-based Grupa Lotos will have the right to use its logo alongside the crest of the Polish national team in marketing campaigns, while its logo will feature on the team’s training apparel.

Additionally, the company will benefit from exposure around international matches during press conferences; branding on the PZPN website, match tickets and programmes; and media advertising campaigns.

Grupa Lotos already has a significant presence across sport in its home country, which includes serving as a general sponsor of the Polish Ski Federation and an official partner of motor racing driver Robert Kubica. It is also the main sponsor of top-flight Ekstraklasa football club Lechia Gdansk.
