French insurance firm Groupama has signed a long-term stadium naming rights deal with Hungarian Liga football team Ferencvaros.
Under the agreement – brokered by the Lagardère Unlimited agency, which will operate the new Budapest facility – Ferencvaros’ home ground will be known as the Groupama Arena ahead of its August 2014 opening.
A 23,800-seat stadium, the Groupama Arena will cater for up to 2,880 VIP guests and will also be used to host a variety of entertainment events.
Lagardère Unlimited Stadium Solutions signed a minimum 10-year stadium operation and club marketing contract with Ferencvaros in April. The financial terms of the agreement with Groupama were not disclosed.
