Sports orientated social network Sportlobster has reached an agreement to become the official social media partner of English Premiership rugby union team Gloucester.
Gloucester’s players will have the opportunity to connect with fans through multiple Sportlobster features under the agreement.
Sportlobster will also have an advertising presence at all Gloucester Rugby games, including an advertising patch on the men’s and women’s team kits.
Sportlobster co-founder and chief operating officer Arron Shepherd said: “We are thrilled to partner with Gloucester Rugby, because they have a prominent social media presence and have actively encouraged the rugby community to grow online.”
The partnership is effective immediately although full terms were not disclosed. Sportlobster launched in April 2013 and counts football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, South Africa rugby union international Francois Louw and English boxer George Groves among its ambassadors.
Sportlobster’s deal with Gloucester Rugby follows a similar agreement with English Premier League football club Crystal Palace.
