Gloucester Rugby shops for new shirt sponsor

English Premiership rugby union club Gloucester has struck a sponsorship deal with Peel Outlets, the company that owns and operates local shopping facility Gloucester Quays Outlet Centre.

Under the deal, the terms of which were not disclosed, the Peel logo will appear on the front of Gloucester’s playing jerseys.

Peel will also work with the club to deliver coaching camps in Gloucester schools and various events in the community.

Gloucester and Peel have been working together for a number of years, with the club having staged its annual open day in 2009 at the shopping facility. The team also has a megastore inside the Outlet Centre.

The two parties in August this year also staged a ‘Beach Weekender’ event at the shopping centre, giving fans the opportunity to play beach rugby, receive specialist coaching advice from the Gloucester first team squad and take part in a number of other activities.
