The German arm of insurance group Generali has agreed a deal to sponsor the upcoming European Athletics Championships in Berlin.
The German capital is hosting athletics events during the inaugural European Championships, with Glasgow in Scotland staging golf, aquatics, cycling, gymnastics, rowing and triathlon events.
Generali will take on naming rights to the 3,000-seat Generali Arena (pictured) venue during the Championships, which run from August 2-12. The venue in the heart of the city will host medal ceremonies during the Championships. Events in Berlin begin on August 6.
As part of the agreement, Generali will promote its Human Safety Net initiative, which supports disadvantaged people around the world.
