Turkish Süper Lig football club Galatasaray has agreed a lucrative shirt sponsorship deal with online gaming operator Bilyoner.com, a partnership that represents an eight-fold increase on its current contract in the betting sphere.
The three-year deal will see Bilyoner receive branding on the sleeves of the football club’s shirt, along with presence on the back of the jersey of Galatasaray’s basketball team.
The contract replaces a deal signed with another partner in September 2017 which was worth TRY1m (€151,000/$173,000). Galatasaray said Bilyoner will invest TRY8m in the first year of its deal, rising to TRY9m and TRY10m in the following two years. The final year of the contract is an optional one.
The Bilyoner agreement represents Galatasaray’s second most-lucrative sponsorship deal, behind its partnership with main sponsor, real estate group Nef.
